February 2019
What a month!
Welcome GRD! What a busy month we have had.
Thank you to those who attended the league meeting on Thursday 28th February, the committee hopes you are happy with the progress we are all making. For those who could not attend, the minutes will be uploaded onto our GRD group page.
The Grim Reavers have won two games this year so far; one of them being their champs game against Wakey Wheeled Cats. The Grim Reavers are now preparing to take on their second opponent of the season, the York Minxters on Saturday 30th March 2019 in Hull. We hope to see a few familiar faces cheering them on!

Park run @ Country Park
We volunteered at the Country Park Saturday morning park run, marshalling, scanning and running. KP gave a great speech before the run telling everyone about our intake, we were also present with leaflets, posters and as always, cake! Special thank you to Danny and Nicola for arranging the event.
Congratulations to KP and Rachel who ran the 5k and both came 3rd for their age groups!!
Can you spot them running?

President Comments
It’s amazing to see how GRD is finally shaping together. We are winning in more ways than just one. GRD is slowly becoming a known name in our local community and it’s exciting. The possibilites for GRD keep knocking at our door and we are letting them all in. It’s going to take hard work, time and commitment to achieve some of our goals this year but by achieving it we will be building stronger foundations for our future goals. Everyday I am proud to be a part of GRD and part of this journey. Our goals will always be changing and we will always achieve them as long as we continue with this shared passion and commitment to one another. So heres to you GRD, you are all winning.

When you, the blockers, give offence to the opposing teams blockers. “POP” should be called to notify your jammer that they should disengage as you are in position and a line should have cleared.
